Smart Water Dispenser

Our bodies are up to 60% water, so being well hydrated is essential. Smart water dispensers make it easy to monitor and stay hydrated.

A touchless water dispenser allows users to refill their own bottles without making physical contact with the machine. They are ideal for offices, schools and other large spaces where people congregate frequently.

Features

The dispenser can automatically measure the height of a cup and fill it with water in a fixed amount. It also has the ability to pour manually by pressing a button. This can help to save time and energy for users. The team designed a PCB for this machine and printed the cases to hold the photoresistors and ultrasonic sensor. They also used the MakerBot print to make the prototype. They tested their dispenser and it worked well (see Figs. 1 and 2).

Cutting-edge filtration technologies guarantee high quality in every glass of smart filtered Smart water dispenser water. The intelligent system provides six stages of filtration to remove bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, pesticide residues, antibiotics and other impurities. The dispenser also uses UV sterilization and a stainless steel thick film heating system to heat the water instantly.

Smart controls and a premium internal stainless-steel water reservoir allow for easy operation and a sleek look. All materials that come in contact with water are BPA-free certified and the drip tray is dishwasher-safe to ensure safety.

The IoT platform allows for remote diagnostics of the dispenser, including an alarm system that automatically opens a ticket in the Celli Service software and activates a call centre or technical intervention. This integrated approach increases customer satisfaction and reduces downtime caused by unscheduled maintenance operations.

Operation

With the smart technology of the dispenser, users can experience a more comfortable drinking experience without worrying about water temperature, volume, or even the number of refills. The smart machine can automatically measure the height of the cup and dispense water according to its preset information, which is saved in an NFC tag.

The float sensor installed inside the storage tank can monitor the water level and triggers the automatic refilling process when it reaches low levels. This eliminates the need for manual refilling by vendors and prevents water wastage. It also helps to keep track of the usage status of each unit, so that maintenance can be performed on time to prevent breakages and other potential problems.

In order to reduce the energy consumption of the device, a heat pump is used to keep the water at a constant near-boiling temperature. The dispenser can also connect to the water distribution network and dispense chilled water.

The design of the water dispenser was based on the results of a survey that was conducted regarding the types and sizing of water bottles used by participants. The height of the platform was designed to fit nearly all the bottle types stated in the survey, and two nozzles were built in with one meant for normal-temperature water and the other for warm water.

Installation

A smart water dispenser filters local tap water to produce cold, hot or sparkling filtered drinks on demand. The intelligent system uses cutting-edge technologies to guarantee high levels of purity and a great taste without any residues or heavy metals. It also avoids the bottling and transportation costs of large bottles and provides a new drinking experience in every home.

Using the app, you can set the temperature of the water in degrees Celsius and save your preferences. The dispenser is equipped with stainless steel thick film heating technology that heats the water instantly and in just one tap. It offers several pre-set modes including “Room temperature”, “Infant formula” and “Coffee”.

The IntelliWater digital platform has been designed to meet the precise needs of the beverage industry, providing an advanced and scalable solution. It allows you to control your entire fleet via a continuous flow of data sent by each water dispenser machine. This information is processed and transformed into valuable competitive intelligence, allowing you to monitor the perfect operating conditions of your equipment, reducing downtimes, limiting on-site interventions and optimizing spare part management.

To install the water dispenser, simply connect it to your water line and plug it in. The water cooler is BPA-free certified, with premium internal stainless-steel reservoirs and a dishwasher-safe drip tray. The dispenser also features a child safety lock, water purifier for home LED indicators, and an ergonomic and modern design that will fit perfectly into any environment.

Maintenance

A smart water dispenser is a great alternative to bottled water, which can be expensive in the long run and detrimental to the environment. But, just like any other appliance, it requires proper maintenance.

You’ll want to check and clean all removable parts, including the reservoirs, every three to six months. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, pour it into the reservoirs, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to disinfect and remove any mineral deposits. Scrub all surfaces and spouts and rinse thoroughly. Pay special attention to the nozzles and dispensing area, as they are often difficult to reach.

Make sure to clean the drip tray regularly, as well. This is where the water bottle rests, so it’s a good idea to remove the bottle, drain it, and then wipe all areas of the dispenser before refilling.

A clogged dispenser can be a breeding ground for bacteria and germs, which is bad news for everyone in your office. A dirty water cooler can lead to Legionnaires’ disease, a serious pneumonia-causing illness that can be easily prevented with a bit of regular cleaning. You’ll also want to avoid storing your water jugs in direct sunlight, as this can cause certain chemicals from the plastic jugs to seep into your drinking water, altering the taste and potentially causing health issues.
