Harsh Environment AARC ODLC ODMC Outdoor Fiber Cable Assemblies

Harsh Environment AARC ODLC ODMC Outdoor Fiber Cable Assemblies

Harsh Environment AARC Plug ODLC ODMC Outdoor Fiber Cable Assemblies are pre-terminated with connectors and arrive on site ready to install. They eliminate the need to terminate and test each connector, saving time for the installer and reducing the overall project cost.

These outside plant (OSP) cables have aramid yarn strength members and are rated for direct burial or trenching, eliminating the need for conduit or duct. They are also ideal for FTTH or wireless base station applications.

Harsh Environment

Harsh environment AARC / ODLC ODMC outdoor fiber cable assemblies are perfect for WiMax, LTE, 3G/4G/5G wireless base station remote radios, as well as Fiber-to-the-Antenna applications (FTTA). These factory-terminated assemblies are available in plug and receptacle connector styles and are supplied as pigtails or jumpers in lengths starting at 1 meter. They feature LC duplex singlemode optical ports with ceramic ferrules and are sealed in metal housings for maximum protection from weather elements like rain, snow and dirt contamination.

These harsh environment cables have passed salt mist, vibration and shock tests for a lifetime of reliability. They are also resistant to high temperatures and corrosive environments like salt water, making them well-suited for harsh outdoor conditions.

Indoor/Outdoor

Our indoor/outdoor pre-terminated fiber cable assemblies are ideal for connections between buildings through use of innerduct or conduit, headend termination to a fiber backbone, headend to fiber rack systems, multi-floor deployments where select fiber is used on each floor, aarc-odlc-odmc-outdoor-fiber-cable-assembly or intra-building backbones. These cables feature a water blocking aramid yarn strength member surrounding the fiber optic strands and a UV resistant outer jacket making them a perfect choice for a variety of installations. They are also plenum rated, meaning they can be run in a duct or conduit without the 50 foot fire code requirement traditionally found with outdoor (OSP) cable.

Amphenol’s harsh environment AARC plug and receptacle assemblies are available in 2-fiber or 4-fiber configurations. They utilize LC style 1.25mm ceramic ferrules and corrosion resistant metal housings to provide a durable and environmentally protected solution for optical connectivity in outdoor environments. The receptacles have the option of a jam-nut or flange mount while the plug assembly is available in pigtail and jumper connector styles and lengths starting at 1 meter. This system is especially suited for FTTH, base station, and WiMax applications.

Pre-Terminated

The pre-terminated configuration of this cable assembly makes it ideal for network deployments in harsh environments. This means that you can expect a faster installation process and minimal downtime due to on-site termination issues. These issues can include splicing, which is often time-consuming and labor intensive. By eliminating the need to perform these tasks on-site, you can significantly reduce your overall fiber optic installation costs.

Pre-terminated cables also have the benefit of being tested in a controlled environment, which is not always possible with field-terminated fiber systems. LANshack tests all of its pre-terminated cable assemblies, so you can rest assured that these cables will work properly in your system.

This type of fiber cabling is a popular choice for high-density applications such as data centers. It is typically used to connect patch panels, switches, and other devices. It is also commonly used to provide connectivity between locations within a building.

These types of fiber optic cables are available in several lengths and configurations, including trunk cables, harnesses, and breakout cables. Trunk cables consist of multiple fibers bundled together, while harnesses and breakout cables contain individual fibers Fiber Optic assemblies terminated on each end with a single connector. In addition, these cables are often built to order so that they meet your specific requirements. Lastly, the pre-terminated configuration of these cable assemblies allows them to be shipped in a compact reel, which makes them more convenient for transport and storage.

Clearfield

The Clearfield production system is designed to give producers the power to get tough grasses and broadleaf weeds out of their fields, off their mind – and into the world market. Combined with the right crop protection solutions, it can help producers achieve their highest-yielding crops ever.

Amphenol’s harsh environment AARC plug and receptacle assemblies are available in 2-fiber or 4-fiber configurations. Based on the N type RF threaded connector housings, these optical interconnect systems offer superior optical performance using LC style 1.25mm ceramic ferrules in sealed metal housings that protect the connection from rain, snow, dirt and other contamination.

Located in the heart of Utah’s Wasatch Front, Clearfield city offers residents the benefits of a close-knit community as well as access to the numerous mountains and trails that the region is known for. It borders Hill Air Force Base, the second largest single-site employer in the state and is home to Lifetime Product headquarters, a major manufacturing company.

Founded in 2008, Clearfield manufactures and distributes passive connectivity products. Its fiber management and enclosure platform consolidates, distributes, and protects fiber networks from the network headend to the drop-off points in homes, businesses, and other locations. It serves communities, multiple system operators, large regional service providers, and wireline/wireless national telco carriers. The company also produces a range of optical components, including signal coupling, splitting, termination, multiplexing, and demultiplexing for integration with its fiber management platform.
